Prunus serrulata ‘Shirofugen’ ornamental cherry tree blooms into late May or early June. It produces beautiful double white flowers, which turn gradually pink.
The young foliage is coppery in colour, it then turns green and then orange in autumn. This stunning tree is a great choice for extending the flowering, as it also holds onto them for a very long time, and is often considered to be the best Japanese flowering cherry tree available.
Like many Japanese cherry trees, this tree will tolerate most soil and prefers well drained conditions.
