Practical Instant Hedge™ Osmanthus burkwoodii
Burkwood osmanthus is an attractive evergreen with seasonal interest. It is a dense, slow-growing hedge. The glossy, finely toothed, dark green leaves are beautifully offset by highly scented, jasmine like, white flowers in mid and late spring. If pruned after flowering, it will increase the blooms for the following year.
It thrives on free draining soils but may lose leaves in the severest of winters, so it is best grown in a sunny aspect with protection against biting winter winds.
Osmanthus burkwoodii has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
