Acer griseum or Paperbark Maple, is a small spreading, slow-growing tree deciduous tree. It is much prized for its beautiful papery chestnut-brown bark which peels.
Paper Bark Maple is a real gem in autumn when the small, three-lobed leaves turn brilliant red and orange in autumn.
Grows in full sun or partial shade, on any aspect. It will grow on all soil types, though it does prefer a free draining soil and won’t do well if overly wet.
